From Batman to Judge Dredd, and from page to screen, Jock’s work is instantly recognisable – this book collects sketches, layouts, and unlettered artwork from the highly influential artist, in-demand film poster artist, and one of the most respected comic creators working in the medium. This stunning hardcover coffee table book illustrates his processes across sequential and concept art, including his character designs for the 2012 movie, DREDD. From his earliest work to his latest 2000 AD covers, this book showcases the artistic evolution of one of the modern masters of comic art. If you ever have wanted to learn more about comics and their creators, you’ve come to the right place. More and more books are being published focusing on the history of comics, history of curators, and academic analyses of what comics means. Comic books and their history have become more accepted as an area in recent years with some universities and schools offering minors and majors in the topic. That’s pretty amazing considering people had been proclaiming the end of the comic book industry in the 1970s! My only caveat was that it was hard to find a lot of comics about non-English countries that were written by the people from those countries or their diaspora. This may be a question of whether those books exist in those countries in those languages but have not been translated into English; I just don’t know. So here’s a list of books that look behind the scenes in the world of comics. Some explore the art and the design behind them while others look more critically at the history of the medium and their creators. All-Negro Comics: America’s First Black Comic Book by Chris Robinson and Orrin C. Evans and others (Image Comics, November 4, 2025) I am particularly fond of comics that reprint and refresh our memories about comic books in the 20th century. This one book reprints 1947 All-Negro Comics #1, which is described as the “first comic book anthology of original Black characters created by Black talent,” led by Orrin C. Evans. In addition to the reprint, the book includes essays about the importance of the comic book and its creators. It also includes current Black comic book writers/artists creating new stories with the characters from the original comic. It’s a great way to honor the importance of the comic and help connect today’s readers to the book. From Sara Raasch and Beth Revis, New York Times bestselling authors of the Witch and Hunter duology, comes a lush and dazzling new romantasy set in the volatile and glamorous Scottish court, where a fae guardian of the realm falls in love with a charming Elizabethan spy—who could also be the key to her world’s undoing. Using secret codes, hidden messages, and a little bit of magic, both seeking to uncover threats to their own countries, Alyth and Sampson will have to work together to unravel a plot centuries in the making. Perfect for fans of Outlander, Powerless, and My Lady Jane. In 2025, YA romantasy is having a moment. After all, who wouldn’t root for teens empowered to change the magical world around them with a partner to strengthen their fight? Book Riot has covered romantasy extensively since the portmanteau combining “fantasy” and “romance” entered the scene. In truth, much of the momentum behind the genre originated in young adult books, an age category that often combined elements of fantasy and romance to great success. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, and Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas were all wildly popular even before YA romantasy was a semi-official subgenre. I will say, one benefit of 2025 YA romantasy is the increase in diverse options for readers. Although YA, and publishing at large, is still largely white and straight, it is much more common to be able to find YA romantasy books with queer, BIPOC, or disability representation. The genre is the better for it. There are simply so many excellent 2025 YA romantasy books to pick up now and put on your TBR. From debuts to the continuation of series, these young adult authors deliver fantastical worlds and swoony romance. I can guarantee you do not want to miss them. Hit YA Romantasy Between These Broken Hearts by Lexi Ryan *Potential spoiler alert: this is a continuation of a series.* In the conclusion to the These Hollow Vows series, both Jasalyn and Felicity will have to learn how to trust themselves and their partners if they want to dodge their fates. In eleven days, Princess Jasalyn will die, and her court will be forfeit if she doesn’t break her bargain with the fae king Mordeus. Although she will have to confront her deepest fears, Jasalyn will have Kendrick by her side, ready to help her slay her darkest demons. Shape-shifter Felicity disappeared from King Misha’s dungeons, but she will need his help if she wants to avoid a destructive prophecy. Fateless by Julie Kagawa Sparrow is determined to prove her place in the Thieves Guild by pulling off an impossible job in the city of the Deathless Kings. When the mysterious request came from the group that controls her guild, Sparrow knew she had to embark on the deadly mission, even if she had to team up with Raithe, a fascinating assassin she knew better than to trust. But if Sparrow, Raithe, and their fellow thieves want to survive their quest, they will have to quickly learn to work as a team if they want to survive the ancient forces that nip at their heels. Carving Shadows into Gold by Brigid Kemmerer *Potential spoiler alert: second in a series* The second book in the Forging Silver into Stars series follows the complicated aftermath of Tycho’s bargain with the magical scraver who saved King Gray. His budding relationship with Jax the blacksmith barely has a chance to develop when Tycho must leave the castle to serve as the King’s Courier. Jax is left behind working as a royal blacksmith in a foreign land without the ability to speak the local language. Callyn has also found herself working for the Queen and hiding her new magic at court. One thing’s for sure, Tycho, Jax, and Callyn must navigate their new strange circumstances if they want to survive the coming war. Watch Me by Tahereh Mafi Ten years after the fall of The Reestablishment, James Anderson is finally old enough to eliminate the island holdout protecting the last of the empire. At least, that’s what he thought. But when James infiltrates the island, he finds himself captured by the government and entangled with the shockingly beautiful assassin, Rosabelle Wolff. Rosa thought she knew what to expect from James, but his easygoing attitude has a randomness that even an advanced computer program couldn’t possibly predict. If all goes well, he might just make it out alive. Oathbound by Tracy Deonn *Potential spoiler alert: third in a series* The third novel in The Legendborn Cycle continues to prove that sometimes we must challenge our oldest traditions and institutions if we want to survive. Torn from the Legendborn Order and her ancestral guides, Bree Matthews trains with an ancient enemy to gain control over King Arthur’s powers and her Rootcraft. But the dangerous bargain could cost her everything if she’s not careful. Meanwhile, Demonia has its hooks in Selwyn, and Nick is busy executing Bree’s and Sel’s rescue plan. Love at Second Sight by F.T. Lukens Before Cam Reynolds’s first premonition, he thought he was just a regular human sophomore going to a new school with paranormal teens. When he sees a teen girl being killed from the murderer’s perspective, he knows he must stop the crime before it happens. Although Cam’s family isn’t connected to the supernatural community, he has some help. Cam’s best friend, Al, is a witch, his crush, Mateo, is a werewolf, and his new paranormal manager is a well-informed human. Together, they might just be able to save a life. Illusions of Fire by Nisha Sharma Laila Bansal trains to protect the supernatural world with her adopted aunts every day before working at the family winery and attending school. It helps that they are immortal Rakshasi demons, but even with her family history, she could’ve never have imagined that the new boy in town, Karan, would try to decapitate her, changing her peaceful life forever. Determined to rescue his parents, Karan brings a deluge of immortal and mortal enemies bent on destruction. Laila hopes her training and one-liners will be strong enough to save the world in this Hindu-inspired Buffy-esque romantasy. Heir of Storms by Lauryn Hamilton Murray On the day Blaze was born, she summoned a catastrophic storm that killed thousands before her powers completely disappeared. Now she lives in hiding, in fear that one day her powers could return and destroy the world again. That is, until Blaze and her twin brother are invited to compete to become the next rulers of the empire. Thrust into the spotlight, she must learn how to control her power, her future, and her heart if she wants a chance at the throne. Blood Moon by Britney S. Lewis There is nothing more forbidden than the love between a vampire and a werewolf. Mirabella “Mira” Owens is a college student who comes to learn that the far-fetched stories of werewolves protecting her Kansas hometown from vampires are true. There were a few clues: Mira received an odd letter from her mother, found strange tracks on a hike, and was impossibly saved by Julian Santos, a mysterious, cold boy who managed to jump down a cliff to catch her. When the Blood Moon rises, Mira becomes central to an ancient war that has the chance to change the world. Lady’s Knight by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner Sapphic lady knights are all the rage this season, and this hilarious YA Arthurian reimagining will not disappoint. Gwen’s hidden a lot in her life: her attraction to girls, her blacksmithing, and her knightly ambitions. Lady Isobelle of Avington has always been on display, but this is the first time she’s ever been a tournament grand prize. Wanting more than anything to choose the person who will win her hand, Isobelle works with Gwen to help them both. Disguised as Sir Gawain, Gwen will win glory and Isobelle’s freedom…If the dragons don’t thwart their plans first. We are living in an era defined by several moral panics happening simultaneously. It’s hard not to when the last decade has been mired by the erosion of trust in facts and history, paired with the ever-increasing amounts of mis- and disinformation being sown about near any and every topic imaginable. That we have lost news and truth through the shrinking of local news, the paywalling of stories that impact people’s everyday lives, and seen both traditional media and social media become tools for partisanship has not helped. These are but some of the many reasons why the 2025 Read Harder challenge included the task of reading a book about a moral panic. It’s important to read about both past moral panics and contemporary moral panics to understand where we are now and where we may be going. But first, what the heck is a moral panic anyway? A moral panic is widespread fear that there is something or someone evil threatening the values, beliefs, and well-being of society. In America, this looks like a marginalized group or belief system earning the blame for shifts away from “traditional” lifestyles or values. “Traditional” is code privilege and most frequently means the white, cishet, able-bodied, and conservative Christian. We see this right now in the moral panic over “inappropriate” books in schools and libraries; we see this right now in the moral panic over there “not being enough babies being born” in the US; we see it right now in the anti-vaccine movement that’s led to growth in measles, a disease that had been eradicated in this country. The “evil” of being people of color and queer people in the first two, with “big pharma” and literal medical experts and scientists being the third. Moral panics fuel political movements, underpin conspiracy theory, and frequently direct policy, creating damage that can last for generations–if the damage can be undone at all. For this task, I’ve pulled together a wide range of books about moral panics. They span history, and while the majority focus on American moral panics, not all of them do. Most of these books are nonfiction, but I’ve included several works of fiction which have their moral panics based in real life. There are both trade books here and heftier academic tomes, so you can pick whatever feels like the right moral panic for your time and energy. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but most of these books are written by men. This isn’t accidental. Cisgender men are among the most protected from moral panics, and they’re also most likely to have the ability to write about them because of the systems that work in their favor socially, politically, culturally, and in the publishing world more broadly. Rather than create a shorter list to find parity, for the sake of providing a breadth of book options, I’ve elected to keep a longer list and note that we could absolutely benefit from more marginalized perspectives on moral panics. Nonfiction About Moral Panics American Panic: A History of Who Scares Us and Why by Mark Stein If you’re looking for a broad exploration of moral panics throughout America’s history, as well as how those moral panics have helped shape more contemporary panics, this book has you covered. Stein’s book looks at what causes a moral panic to grow in popularity, where and how people become susceptible to one, and how those panics shape policy and politics. This was written in 2014, so it won’t tackle more contemporary topics–including the real issues of mis- and dis- information–but the content should provide a lens through which you can better understand them. Banned Book Club by Hyun Sook Kim and Ryan Estrada, illustrated by Hyung-Ju Ko In 1983, Kim Hyun Sook thought going to college would open up her world–she’d convinced her very traditional mother that studying Western Literature in academia would be good for her (and she herself was grateful to get out of having to work in the family’s restaurant). The problem is that this was during South Korea’s Fifth Republic. It was an era marked by relentless censorship and cruelty inflicted upon the country’s citizens. So when Hyun Sook is invited to take part in a book club at school, she doesn’t expect what this actually would entail–hiding in a dark basement with fellow book lovers in order to read the books deemed illicit by the Regime. This comic explores anti-intellectualism, censorship, and the real consequences of authoritarianism. All Access members: read on for 13 more recommendations! This content is for members only. Recently, I’ve noticed books that belong in the horror genre keep getting mislabeled as thrillers by readers or even their publishers. Bunny by Mona Awad, for example, is often referred to as a psychological thriller despite the very much not rooted in reality events that happen in the book. Jennifer McMahon’s My Darling Girl is another book that’s often called a thriller despite the demonic possession storyline, once again, skewing it toward the creeping dread and possession elements that I’d argue live in the horror genre. And this is only to name a couple! There seems to be a tendency for readers to mislabel women-written horror novels as thrillers. But why? While, spoiler alert, there’s no clear-cut answer, let’s take a look at some possibilities of what’s at play here. The Thin Line Between Horror and Thriller The horror and thriller genres are closely intertwined, with often no clear-cut way to decide which bucket a book falls into. Both genres are categorized in large part by the feelings they invoke in the reader rather than one specific element to point to. And, well, every reader is different, so what’s horrifying to one might be just a low-level thriller to another. Both genres are mood-based, using setting, character, and plot to create a sense of foreboding or dread in their audience. Some signs do point one way or another, like the paranormal or ghostly elements that make something horror, or the way thrillers are often firmly based in the real world. A memorable opening line grabs a reader’s attention immediately. Children’s authors have even less room to make a great impression than authors of fiction for adults. In a short book for audiences with less reading and life experience, every word counts. These lines introduce the books’ characters, settings, and themes. Often, the themes include family, culture, and identity. They set the story’s tone and hint at characters’ personalities and relationships. A book may be a child’s first introduction to a topic or genre. Opening lines that might seem ordinary or even cliché in fiction for adults can be funny, fresh, and inventive in fiction for kids. Kidlit has more variety in general and room to be playful. Despite the books’ emotional impact, our memories of childhood classics may be vague. You might not even remember the exact titles. For example, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is more frequently called Alice in Wonderland. In this quiz, there’s no need to type the titles. Just think of the answers, then scroll down to check, or skip to the end. These books may be your old favorites, or your kids’ or students’ current favorites. This quiz may jog your memory or surprise you. Either way, have fun! Opening Lines: “The Mole had been working very hard all the morning, spring-cleaning his little home.” “Where’s Papa going with that ax?” said Fern to her mother as they were setting the table for breakfast. “My name is Zuri, and I have hair that has a mind of its own.” “The only person left alive on the island was a baby girl.” “Little Man, would you come on? You keep it up and you’re gonna make us late.” “Eh, Tree-ear! Have you hungered well today?” “All children, except one, grow up.” “It was a dark and stormy night.” “That fool of a fairy Lucinda did not intend to lay a curse on me.” “Our story begins on the ocean, with wind and rain and thunder and lightning and waves.” Ready for the Answers? The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame “The Mole had been working very hard all the morning, spring-cleaning his little home.” Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White “Where’s Papa going with that ax?” said Fern to her mother as they were setting the table for breakfast. Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry, illustrated by Vashti Harrison “My name is Zuri, and I have hair that has a mind of its own.” The Birchbark House by Louise Erdrich “The only person left alive on the island was a baby girl.” Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor “Little Man, would you come on? You keep it up and you’re gonna make us late.” A Single Shard by Linda Sue Park “Eh, Tree-ear! Have you hungered well today?” Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie (also published as Peter and Wendy) “All children, except one, grow up.” A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle “It was a dark and stormy night.” This line was parodied for over a century before L’Engle revived it. Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine That fool of a fairy Lucinda did not intend to lay a curse on me. The Wild Robot by Peter Brown Our story begins on the ocean, with wind and rain and thunder and lightning and waves. A Few More Quizzes to Try: Match the blurb to the book. Who doesn’t love a sincere curmudgeon? In these grumpy/grumpy romances, we have not one but two cranky, love-sick fools ready for their happily ever after. Much like grumpy/sunshine or black/cat golden retriever romances, grumpy/grumpy romance trope describes the characters’ dynamic and public persona in a romance. In this case, both characters in the relationship are certified grumps. More birds of a feather than opposites attract, grumpy/grumpy romances prove that sometimes similar personalities create the strongest partnerships. I always love a good grumpy personality with all its high emotional walls, directness, and a heartfelt resting “no thank you.” Plus, a grumpy/grumpy romance explores the origins of the protective instinct to default to grouchiness. It’s a fun, emotional bonding moment, and I, for one, will never turn down a good opportunity to witness that empathetic magic in the making. When it came to collecting my favorite grumpy/grumpy romances, I gathered a wide range of romances with the iconic trope. I hope you have fun with this group of ill-tempered lovers. Photo Credit: BET+ The Zatima Season 4 Part 2 release date is highly anticipated following the conclusion of Part 1. The first part premiered on September 11, 2025, and ran until October 9, 2025. Created by Tyler Perry, this comedy-drama follows the relationship between Zac and Fatima. The pair deeply loves each other and takes steps to deepen their bond. However, new relationships and past deeds test their efforts. So, what is the release date of Zatima Season 4 Part 2? Here’s what we have gathered on the subject. What is the Zatima Season 4 Part 2 release date estimate? Zatima Season 4 Part 2’s release date will likely fall during the December 2025 to early 2026 timeframe. This is based on the pattern followed by the previous seasons. Since Season 2, Zatima has followed a release pattern in which the episodes were split into two parts. Season 2 Part 1 premiered on March 16, 2023, and ran until April 13, followed by Season 2 Part 2, which ran from August 24, 2023, to September 28, 2023. Season 3 Part 1 launched on October 3, 2024, running until October 31, followed by Season 3 Part 2, which released from December 26, 2024, to January 23, 2025. Thus, if Season 4 Part 2 follows a similar pattern, its anticipated December 2025 to early 2026 release timeframe becomes even more likely. Zatima Season 4 Part 2 news and updates Recently, the two main leads of Zatima, Crystal Hayslett and Devale Ellis, gave an interview with Revolt. In it, the pair discussed the show and their respective careers. During the discussion, Hayslett explained why fans loved Zatima so much and why they resonated with it compared to other shows exploring modern relationships. “I think honestly, it’s us living out our flaws and faults in front of everyone,” Hayslett shared. “We’re not giving you the perfect fairytale love story, you know? And I fell victim to that by watching TV.” She continued, “And I fell victim to that by watching TV. I’m like, ‘I want that kind of love.’ That ain’t real. You know? So, I think that we are actually showing what it looks like to grow as couples, grow individually, and then also start to communicate and be able to build a family on a solid foundation.” The Zatima Season 4 Part 2 expected cast includes Hayslett, Ellis, Nzinga Imani, Jasmin Brown, and Remington Hoffman. The synopsis for Zatima is as follows: “Zac and Fatima take a huge step to strengthen their bond, but new friends and past actions interfere with their blossoming relationship.” The post Zatima Season 4 Part 2 Release Date Estimate, News & Updates appeared first on ComingSoon.net - Movie Trailers, TV & Streaming News, and More. Photo Credit: NBC The trailer for Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 3 finally confirmed Owen Manning’s fate after the previous episode left things hanging. The episode took a sharp turn in the second half after Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) returned for an emotional reunion with the other doctors. The trailer revealed Owen’s fate, but there are still questions remaining about this. Does Owen die, and is Frankie DeMaio leaving Chicago Med? No, Owen does not die in Chicago Med Season 11, at least not yet. The trailer for the upcoming episode confirmed that Owen is alive and fighting for his life, so it is clear that the show is not killing him off immediately. But he is not out of danger either. In the previous episode, Owen came with Will to Chicago to spend some quality time. But things took a turn for the worse when a teenager named Jasper, who was later revealed to be a drug mule with intestinal blockage due to cocaine baggies, was brought in. Soon, a female drug runner invaded Jasper’s operating room, and though the doctors gave away the cocaine baggies, a gunshot went off that put Owen’s life at risk. Now, the trailer has confirmed that Owen is still alive, and Will was the one who sought help urgently for his adoptive son. So, while Owen is alive, he is not out of danger. Perhaps the faculty could come together to save Owen, which would mark a momentous occasion on the show. As for Frankie DeMaio’s exit, there have been no reports that hint at the possibility of this anytime soon. Moreover, Owen’s death at this juncture of the story would be too devastating a twist. So, Chicago Med will not kill off Owen right away. But the show could use this storyline to build something better. Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 3 will premiere on October 15, 2025. Photo Credit: Silver Screen Collection/Getty Images While Chitty Chitty Bang Bang remains one of Dick Van Dyke’s legendary roles, it was also one where the veteran comedian felt very self-conscious, primarily because of something he heard on the set. Van Dyke went on to enjoy a tremendous career. He continues to remain active in the industry at the age of 99. Here’s what the actor revealed about this Chitty Chitty Bang Bang incident. Dick Van Dyke on how comments about his nose on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang set affected him When fans look back at Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, they see only a beloved classic that was anchored by the performance of the legendary Dick Van Dyke. But for the veteran actor and comedian, there were layers to this tale. During the Vandy High Tea charity event on Sunday, October 5, 2025, Van Dyke recalled an incident from the sets of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He says that the behind-the-scenes incident left his self-confidence shattered (via PEOPLE). Van Dyke recalled his first day on the set of the movie, where he heard the director, Ken Hughes, speaking to the makeup artist. The actor was left shocked when he heard that the two were discussing his “hooter.” “I heard him say, ‘What about the hooter?’” Van Dyke recalled. “And all my confidence drained out of me, all I got was nose jokes. I never thought I had a big nose,” he added. This was the first time he got insecure about his nose. “The first day was not good,” he said. While the first day is not memorable to Van Dyke in a good way, the movie went on to become a classic, making Dick Van Dyke a household name. Even now, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is very well-regarded in its genre. Van Dyke, meanwhile, continues to be present in the industry. He is set to turn 100 on December 13, 2025. Image credit: Warner Bros. Pictures Laurence Fishburne has opened up about the possibility of reprising his iconic role as Morpheus in The Matrix 5. Speaking during a reunion panel at New York Comic Con 2025, the actor said he would consider returning to the sci-fi franchise, but under certain conditions. He also spoke about the franchise’s legacy as well as his absence from The Matrix Resurrections. Laurence Fishburne says he’ll return for Matrix 5 ‘if it makes sense’ Laurence Fishburne has addressed whether he might step back into the role of Morpheus for The Matrix 5. Appearing at New York Comic Con 2025 for The Matrix reunion panel, the actor said that he is open to returning, but only under the right circumstances. Fishburne said, “It depends on how good it is, really. If it’s great, then yeah, if it makes sense.” He added, “I don’t know if it makes sense.” The discussion follows Warner Bros.’ announcement in April 2024 that writer and director Drew Goddard will take over the franchise, with The Matrix 5 officially in development. (via Variety) During the NYCC panel hosted by Josh Horowitz, Fishburne and co-star Joe Pantoliano looked back on the impact of the original trilogy. Fishburne said, “There’s no movie that comes after ‘The Matrix’ that’s a sci-fi action or fantasy movie that’s not been influenced by it. It’s everywhere. It’s so pervasive you almost forget where it came from at this point.” He even added that that without The Matrix, even major franchises like the MCU wouldn’t “look the same.” The actor, who first brought Morpheus to life in the 1999 sci-fi classic, also reflected on his absence from The Matrix Resurrections, released in 2021. Fishburne revealed that he had reached out to Lana Wachowski in hopes of reprising the role. He said, “I reached out. It just didn’t pan out. I said ‘Thank you very much,’ And Lana [Wachowski] said, ‘Thank you very much, I’ll think about it,’ and that was that.” Originally reported by Disheeta Maheshwari on SuperHeroHype. Photo Credit: CBS Carra Patterson‘s evident absence in Elsbeth Season 3 hasn’t gone unnoticed by the audience. With the premiere of Season 3 bringing about all sorts of dynamic and storyline shifts, fans have been exploring the possibility of Patterson’s exit from the comedy series. However, the episode “Yes, And…” revealed a fresh storyline in Officer Kaya Blanke’s (Carra Patterson) life. Is Carra Patterson exiting Elsbeth for good? The season 3 premiere of Elsbeth, titled “Yes, And…,” emerged with a new storyline. The latest tweaks to the plot lead to the promotion of Patterson’s character, Officer Kaya Blanke, from an NYPD officer to an undercover agent in a special D.C. task force. The premiere further revealed that Officer Blanke’s training starts right away, explaining Patterson’s absence in the show as a series regular. As per Deadline, Patterson resigned from her regular role in May 2025. The actress will return in Season 3 as a guest star. A scene between Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) and Cameron Clayden (Sullivan Jones) teased Patterson’s guest appearance in Elsbeth Season 3. The scene starts with Elsbeth asking Cameron about her friend’s whereabouts. Cameron first replies by saying that she isn’t supposed to reveal anything. She later adds that her friend has completed her training and begun her first undercover assignment. Officer Kaya is all set to make a guest appearance in Episode 3 of Elsbeth, “Good Grief,” wherein her undercover assignment gets tied to one of Elsbeth’s cases. Affirming her return, CBS has released a still showing Elsbeth and Kaya together in undercover looks. The finale’s events will reveal what is in store for Patterson’s character for the rest of the season. Assuring the audience about Patterson’s further appearances in the series, showrunner Jonathan Tolins said, “All I can say is, we love the relationship between Elsbeth and Kaya, and we love Carra Patterson. We hope to see Kaya on the show as much as we can” (per Deadline). Photo Credit: ABC General Hospital fans are not okay with Joss’ arc, in which she is pulled into covert operations with the WSB. This all started when her boyfriend, Dex Heller, was murdered. It inspired Joss to have her share of revenge, but now, she falls deeper into the storyline. She ended up killing a man in self-defense and was then helped by Agent Jack Brennan, who wants her to join WSB for good. This means that she is not exploring her college dramas and relationships, but rather being seen in a more tense arc dealing with national security. General Hospital fans say Eden McCoy’s Josslyn Jacks “was never convincing” as an agent General Hospital fans have objected to Joss’ transition from pre-med student to secret agent. The biggest concern is that it seems highly unlikely. Viewers feel that the WSB storyline differs significantly from the one they grew up watching. She had ambitions for her career and relationships, which are now sidelined to fit Joss into a darker, action-heavy story. The former resonates with most soap opera beats of young adult characters. Another facet of this criticism of Joss’ WSB storyline is how she will now put everyone in danger around her. Given that she will enter into life-threatening situations, it will automatically put her family and friends at immediate risk. This shift from college drama and relationships to some undercover agent-based work is why fans are asking the writers to end the storyline. They want it scaled back or ended completely. A fan wrote on Facebook, “So over this stupid Joss is a WSB agent storyline. She doesn’t sell it as an agent. Please GH end it now.” Others agreed with the notion and replied, “I agree I liked it when she was going to college to be a doctor! This story of her becoming a WSB agent is just stupid like most things going on GH now.” Another added, “She’s about as good a WSB agent as I am. This whole WSB storyline needs to go out the window. It’s sooo boring!” The post General Hospital Fans Want Joss’ WSB Agent Storyline to End appeared first on ComingSoon.net - Movie Trailers, TV & Streaming News, and More. View the full article

Photo Credit: Craig Barritt | Getty Images for ReedPop George R.R. Martin, author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and Game of Thrones‘ EP, has provided another explanation behind the delay of the next book, titled The Winds of Winter. In a recent discussion, Martin opened up about what is keeping him from penning the next entry in his cult classic franchise, stating that he likes to work on other things as well. George R.R. Martin says he ‘always had trouble with deadlines’ During George R.R. Martin’s recent appearance at the New York Comic Con, fellow novelist Joe Hill jokingly alluded to his stalled Winds of Winter novel by instead asking him a question about the NFL side, the New York Giants. Undeterred, Martin addressed the topic by simply saying that he has always faced issues meeting deadlines. (via Entertainment Weekly) “I know there’s all this controversy about Winds of Winter and how late it is, but I’ve always had trouble with deadlines,” the veteran author remarked before adding, “And I don’t feel happy breaching contracts or missing a deadline or anything like that.” Martin then reiterated his love for the source material for Game of Thrones, noting, “Yes, I do love Winds of Winter. I’m still interested in it, I’m still working on it.” Nevertheless, the Elden Ring co-writer highlighted that he harbors equal passion for his other projects, including Wild Cards and AMC drama Dark Winds, stating, “But honestly, I love these other things, too.” Notably, George R.R. Martin has published five books in his A Song of Ice and Fire series, with the latest one, titled A Dance with Dragons, coming out in 2011. Since then, there have been little to no updates regarding the final two entries, with Martin instead turning his attention towards the television adaptations of his written works. On the Game of Thrones front, the 77-year-old writer is executive producing the House of the Dragon series, which has spawned two seasons so far. Martin is also executive producing and co-creating another GoT spin-off, titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is currently on track to premiere on HBO in January 2026. Image credit: Marvel Studios Marvel Studios is gearing up for a jam-packed 2026, as its movie and TV shows lineup continues to grow. As confirmed by the new trailer, the long-anticipated Wonder Man series has officially shifted its premiere to January 2026, kicking off a year of several high-profile MCU releases. These include both returning fan favorites and long-anticipated debuts. Wonder Man and other MCU movies and shows releasing in 2026 Marvel Studios has officially delayed the release of Wonder Man, its latest live-action Disney+ series. The studio has shifted the series’ premiere from December 2025 to January 2026. According to Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s Head of TV and Animation, the move was made to avoid clashing with the holiday viewing rush. “We don’t want it to get swallowed up by people watching Home Alone and Die Hard and Elf,” he told Entertainment Weekly. First announced in 2022, Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, a struggling actor and heir to a failing tech company, and Ben Kingsley, reprising his MCU role as Trevor Slattery. Winderbaum described the show as one of his “favorite” Marvel projects to date. He said, “And it’s a story about not just Hollywood, I would say it’s a story about acting and the journey of an actor in Hollywood, of having to balance being an artist with making money and very grounded ideas that anyone who came up in Hollywood or in the arts in general can relate to.” Wonder Man’s delay has pushed it to a January 27, 2026, release, making Marvel’s 2026 schedule even more packed. Here’s a look at Marvel’s current 2026 release lineup: Wonder Man – January 27, 2026 Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 – March 2026 The Punisher Special – Early-mid 2026 X-Men ’97 Season 2 – Summer 2026 Spider-Man: Brand New Day (from Sony) – July 31, 2026 Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 – Fall 2026 VisionQuest – Sometime in mid-late 2026 Avengers: Doomsday – December 18, 2026 Originally reported by Disheeta Maheshwari on SuperHeroHype. He seems to have been arrested on an out-of-state warrant and is currently held at San Diego Central Jail. The details surrounding the warrant and the circumstances of his arrest remain unclear at this time. His arrest reportedly took place at the US-Mexico border on October 5, 2025. Currently, he is not eligible for bail, with his court date set for Wednesday, October 15, 2025. As per TMZ, his rep stated that the warrant from a Michigan case stems from a missed court appearance. The court appearance was for McCrary’s failure to pay child support, for which he is also reported to have been arrested twice before. His first arrest was in Michigan in 2015, and he was released after paying a fine. Later in 2023, authorities arrested him again over unpaid back payments. This time, he pleaded not guilty and secured release on bond with location monitoring. McCrary married Tammy Brawner in 2014, and they finalized their divorce in 2019. At the time, Brawner received full legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Zoey. As per reports, the court ordered him to pay Brawner a child support sum of $1,366. Photo Credit: Mark Schafer/CBS via Getty Images The Elsbeth Season 3 premiere discloses the role that Amy Sedaris is playing. In August 2025, it was announced that Sedaris, alongside Andy Richter and Lindsay Mendez, had been tapped for Season 3. The latest season focuses on the demise of the fictional late-night host, played by Stephen Colbert. Here are all the details on her role. Which character does Amy Sedaris play in Elsbeth Season 3? Amy Sedaris plays Laurel Hammond-Muntz in Elsbeth Season 3. She is the devoted head writer and executive producer of the fictional show “Way Late.” In conversation with Deadline, showrunner Jonathan Tolins revealed what it was like working with the three new additions to the cast. He said, ” It was also so wonderful to have three people with a long history together, just like the characters they play. I actually saw Amy and Andy in a play, “Incident at Cobbler’s Knob,” as part of the Lincoln Center Festival back in 1997.” Appreciating Colbert’s and Sedaris’ other works, he added, “And, of course, I’m a huge fan of Strangers with Candy, the series Amy and Stephen co-wrote and starred in, and on which Andy also appeared. That connection between the three of them is really palpable in the episode.” In the show, Sedaris’ Laurel can’t tolerate Scotty’s behavior, given his different priorities and the way he mocks her husband. Scotty also hesitates to grant Mickey time off to prioritize his health. Despite Scotty’s unacceptable behavior, Mickey visits him to request leave once again, only to find him dead in the office. It is revealed that Scotty died when his tie got caught in the power shredder. This demise puts Laurel into a challenging situation, given that she put his tie in the machine, which choked him. This is because she hated him for his nature and for not being empathetic enough towards her husband’s health condition. Tolins revealed further what made these scenes between Colbert and Sedaris special. He explained, “Also, the fact that Stephen and Amy have known each other for so long added something special to their scenes together. These people know each other deeply. I think it makes for one of our most complicated and interesting murders on the show.” The post Elsbeth Season 3 Premiere Reveals Amy Sedaris’ Character in Hit TV Show appeared first on ComingSoon.net - Movie Trailers, TV & Streaming News, and More. Photo Credit: Walt Disney Tron: Ares just hit theaters, and fans are already asking, “When can I stream it at home?” Disney hasn’t dropped the official digital or streaming dates yet, but if we look at how they usually roll out their releases and what experts are predicting, we can make some pretty good guesses. When will Tron: Ares get its digital release date? Disney hasn’t officially said anything yet, but media watchers think Tron: Ares will probably hit digital (VOD, purchase, and rental) sometime between December 9 and 16, 2025. This guess comes from Disney’s usual 60–67 day window after a movie is released in theatres, similar to what we saw with Lilo & Stitch and Thunderbolts. If Tron: Ares doesn’t do great at the box office, some think Disney might push the digital release up a bit, maybe to late November, but that’s more of a “could happen” scenario. When will Tron: Ares begin streaming on Disney+? For Disney+ streaming, Tron: Ares is expected to arrive around mid-January 2026, although some estimates suggest it may be delayed into February. This follows Disney’s usual gap of about 100 days between the digital release and the Disney+ debut. If you want to catch it on Disney+, you’ll need a subscription. Plans start at $10.99/month for the basic option with ads, but please note that the price will increase to $12.99/month on October 21, 2025. While you’re waiting, you can stream the first two Tron movies, Tron and Tron: Legacy, on Disney+. Tron: Ares is the latest movie in the Tron franchise, starring Jared Leto and legendary Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn. The film also introduces fresh faces like Greta Lee, Evan Peters, and more. When it hit theaters, it topped the box office with $33.5 million domestically in its opening weekend. Still, that was a bit below expectations, given the film’s reported $180 million production budget. Overseas, it’s pulled in another $27 million, bringing the worldwide total to $60.5 million. Photo Credit: Marvel Studios Spider-Man: Brand New Day is said to directly connect to Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The speculation began after recent comments from Brad Winderbaum hinted at overlapping storylines and coordinated production efforts. The development comes as both projects prepare major releases that expand Marvel’s street-level narrative in New York City. Spider-Man: Brand New Day confirmed to connect with Daredevil: Born Again Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum talked about the connection between the two projects during an interview with Entertainment Weekly at New York Comic Con, and said, “We are communicating a lot with the team on Spider-Man: Brand New Day to make sure that there’s coherence there.” He added, “We don’t want to spoil anything, but it very much exists in the same world and it is important.” Winderbaum explained that while both projects share continuity, they will retain distinct tones. “Just [like] the Daredevil comic books and the Punisher comic books depicted a certain tone and an idea of New York in a different way than Spider-Man’s, they both exist in the same universe,” he said, adding, “Everything lines up and the impacts are felt, but we’re able to tell different stories.” The MCU first brought the two heroes together in Spider-Man: No Way Home. After Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) identity was exposed, he sought legal help from Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). The cameo officially brought Daredevil into the main MCU timeline. Daredevil: Born Again launched on Disney+ in March 2025 and continues the Netflix storyline. Matt Murdock battles Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), who becomes mayor of New York and tightens his grip on the city. In the finale, Fisk seizes full control and bans vigilantism. Season 2 has wrapped filming and brings back Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, setting up his upcoming standalone Punisher special. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, continues Peter Parker’s journey after the memory wipe in No Way Home. Originally reported by Anubhav Chaudhry on SuperHeroHype.
